Fabric Care Instructions

Washing Recommendation:

We recommend not washing the fabric unless necessary, as washing may reduce the brightness of the colors. These fabrics are artisan-made and not industrially color-fixed, so some color transfer may occur—especially with deep or bright tones.

If You Choose to Wash:

Before washing, we suggest setting the color using one of these methods:

Option 1 – Salt Soak (Traditional Method):

• Soak the fabric in cool water mixed with non-iodized salt (about 2 tablespoons per yard)
• Let sit for about 30 minutes
• Rinse thoroughly in cool water

Option 2 – Commercial Fixative (Optional):

• Use a store-bought color fixer like Retayne®
• Follow the product instructions carefully

How to Wash:

• Hand wash separately in cool water
• Use mild soap (avoid bleach or harsh detergents)
• Do not wring or twist
• Air dry in the shade
